Current client work:

• Air-source heat pump controls project. Electrical design plus the control logic: bang-bang compressor with anti-cycle protection, electronic expansion valve superheat PID, weather compensation as feedforward.
• Vertical farming control panels for Square Mile Farms.

Two technical tracks running alongside the consultancy:

• Chartered Engineer application through the IET experiential pathway. Writing up a decade of embedded and industrial controls work against the UK-SPEC competences.
• An open-source BLDC motor driver Pmod for the ULX3S FPGA board. Two halves: field-oriented control gateware in the open ECP5 flow (Yosys and nextpnr), benchmarked against a commercial Trenz TEP0002 driver board, and an independent open-hardware driver Pmod released for anyone to use. The live design decision is the current-sense topology: low-side shunts with integrated amplifiers against inline sensing with high-common-mode parts.
